John Roberts finds out how long conservatives hold a grudge

The biggest liberal of the year? It’s not President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, or any of the other usual suspects—it’s John Roberts.

Chief Justice John Roberts: Liberal of the Year?

The biggest liberal of the year? It’s not President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, or any of the other usual suspects—it’s John Roberts.

Yes, the Chief Justice. Of the Supreme Court. Appointed by Bush. Yes, that John Roberts.

The Wall Street Journal editorial section awarded Roberts its “Liberal Man of the Year” award. And what (from their perspective) is worse than that? They grouped him together with (hold your nose) Lena Dunham. Yes, The “Girls” creator. Who sometimes has sex. And supported Obama (shudder).

Roberts and Dunham were selected for the awards because of the end-of-the-year acclaim that each received from the "liberal" media. Oh, and that portmanteau that Roberts upheld: Obamacare. I’ll let the Journal explain:

Such is the strange new respect a conservative receives for sustaining liberal priorities. Our own view is less effusive, and to expiate his ObamaCare legal sins, a fair punishment would be that he hire Ms. Dunham as a clerk.

Zing.
