While there were reports from Israeli radio Tuesday that a ceasefire was close, this morning there remains no formal truce between Israel and Hamas. Overnight, at least 16 people were wounded when a bomb ripped through a commuter bus in Tel Aviv. Today, as the conflict enters day 8, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presses forward in pursuit of a peace deal.

That effort will take Clinton to Cairo, where the Secretary is expected to meet with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, a critical link in negotiations with Hamas. In a sign of the stakes at play, Clinton is also slated to meet with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today.

Secretary Clinton's mission could prove among the toughest of her tenure. We'll have a report live from the ground and full analysis when Former Assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley joins the panel at noon ET. Ari Melber is in for Alex - be sure to join us!
