In a trip to Costco on Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden showed that politicians really are just like everybody else. A card carrying member of the store, the vice president took time to visit the opening of Washington, D.C.'s, first Costco and took advantage of the many samples offered to him while he searched the shelves for pie, and browsed for children's books.

But it wasn't all pudding and cookie samples. At the end of his trip, Vice President Biden reiterated that “the middle class tax cut should be made permanent” and that Democrats still stand ready to compromise with Republicans to ensure that a deal is done on the fiscal cliff.

Check out some highlights from VP Biden's visit where he walked away with fire logs, children’s books, apple pie, and a 32 inch Panasonic TV.
