Is Vogue’s infamous editor-in-chief leaving the fashion world to enter politics? President Obama is looking into appointing Anna Wintour as the next U.S. ambassador to the U.K. or France, according to a Bloomberg News report.

A longtime supporter of the Democratic Party, Wintour raised more than $500,000 for the Obama campaign this election season. She held fundraisers with celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Scarlett Johansson, and film producer Harvey Weinstein.

She's also credited for pushing forward a "fashion line" of sorts for the Obama campaign that sold branded scarves, yoga pants, and other items to supporters. It raised around $40 million.

Vogue spokeswoman, Megan Salt denied that Wintour was interested in the post, telling Bloomberg that the magazine’s editor-in-chief, was “very happy with her current job.”

The fashion maven herself has yet to comment on the rumor.

Bloomberg reports that Wintour faces some tough competition for either position if she’s interested. Matthew Barzun, who served as the finance chairman of the president’s re-election campaign, was said to be eyeing the London job, and Marc Lasry, the managing partner and founder of Avenue Capital Management, the France position.
