Musician John Forte on prison reform

Since his release from federal prison, John Forte has served as an agent of chance. Forte, who wrote and produced the Brooklyn Nets’ new anthem, talks about his efforts to help youth from the path he once walked.

Musician John Forte of Fugees fame–whose 14-year jail sentence for drug trafficking was commuted in 2008 by then-President George W. Bush–dropped by the NOW panel Friday to share his story and discuss an issue close to his heart: prison reform.
