GOP’s failed sleuthing on Chuck Hagel

Politico’s Glenn Thrush, Sam Sifton of The New York Times, Irin Carmon from Salon, and Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith note the lack of focus on many great military issues of our time at Chuck Hagel’s confirmation hearings, such as Afghanistan, the impact of drones, troop suicides, and military sexual assaults.

Republicans tried to use Chuck Hagel’s confirmation hearing as a platform to sling mud at the defense secretary nominee and the Obama administration. Check out the video above as MSNBC’s Alex Wagner and the NOW panel look at where the GOP detective work came up short.
