TV Newser alert! Ari Melber has been officially named the new co-host of The Cycle.

TV Newser alert! Ari Melber has been officially named the new co-host of The Cycle.

Two weeks ago, The Cycle said goodbye to Professor Steve Kornacki who moved on Up to take over the weekend show, and today was able to announce who would be filling his seat. "It's a big sweater to fill—excited to join," Ari tweeted out after the announcement was made official.

"It is super exciting to be at the table, to be with you guys. Many of you I know and have worked with in a number of ways. So it's really fun and has felt really natural," Ari said during the show.

There's a lot to learn about our new co-host.  "I did definitely rap a little bit in high school,"  Ari casually mentioned on the show.

Discover what else he admitted to when his new co-hosts grilled him during his first official welcome to the table segment.
