Anthony Weiner's first TV ad says 'powerful voices' don't want him to win

Anthony Weiner, the former New York congressman, revealed his first TV advertisement in his campaign for New York City mayor on Monday.

He wrote in an email to supporters: "Friends, Our campaign has had policy speeches, idea books and lots of community meetings. Now we have a TV commercial. The first look is yours."

"Powerful voices have made it clear from the beginning they don't want me to win. But this isn't about what they want. They've gotten their way for far too long. If you give me the chance, I will fight for you and your family every single day," Weiner says in the ad.

Weiner, who resigned in 2011 after confessing to sending a sexually suggestive tweet to a college-aged woman, was in first place for mayor at one point. But he recently sunk to fourth among Democratic voters following new sexting revelations.
