Steve Kornacki hosts Up with Steve Kornacki on Saturdays and Sundays from 8-10 a.m. EST. He is also a senior political writer for Salon.com and has been with the site since February 2010.
Previously, he was a co-host on MSNBC’s ensemble show The Cycle. Before that, he wrote for the New York Observer and covered Congress for Roll Call.
Kornacki also spent three years in New Jersey, chronicling the state’s political world for a website and co-hosting a weekly show on News 12 New Jersey, a 24-hour cable news channel.
His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the New York Daily News, the New York Post, the Boston Globe, the Daily Beast, and Capital New York, for which he wrote a series of in-depth profiles of prominent New York political figures. He is a native of Groton, Mass. and graduated from Boston University.
